OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) - It’s hard to believe what dangers await on the roads in Omaha, dangers that could damage or cut short the life of our tires.
“Part of a screwdriver, drill bit, part of a scissors,” said Mike Kline.
Mike is the owner of Lyle’s Tires and Wheels near 84th and I Streets. He has a bucket full of all kinds of road debris that ended up in customers’ tires.
“This is Omaha, Nebraska, at its finest. There’s bullets in there, pieces of wood. I mean, how would a piece of wood — you wouldn’t think a piece of wood would go through, but it’s gone through a tire. A lot of this stuff penetrates the tire when they’re wet from the rain because it softens up the rubber.”
