FRANKLIN, Ky. – A Tennessee man is facing charges in connection with allegedly trafficking fentanyl in Simpson County.
According to a uniform citation, the South Central Kentucky Drug Task Force was contacted Thursday regarding a drug transaction.
Authorities say the caller stated they were buying 3 ounces of methamphetamine and a gram of fentanyl from 29-year-old Jaurez Montgomery of Nashville, Tennessee.
Later last night, the citation states the Kentucky State Police Interdiction Team conducted a traffic stop on Montgomery.
During a vehicle search, authorities say they did not locate narcotics. However, the citation states Montgomery denied consent for a search of his person.
Montgomery was arrested.
