A rookie cop was arrested and charged with raping a 15-year-old girl in the Bronx, police said on Friday.

Officer Ndegnior Kpan, 27, was arrested Thursday after cops responded to a 911 call about an argument inside his apartment in Co-op City around 7:20 p.m., sources said. A 15-year-old girl inside the residence told police that Kpan had gotten rough with her and dragged her outside, hurting her back and hands, when she tried to gather her belongings to leave, according to sources with knowledge of the incident.

Kpan joined the NYPD in July 2024. He was placed on modified duty , without a gun and shield, in February and has since been assigned to administrative work within the department, records show. The reason for his reassignment was not immediately known.
