SPARKS, Nev. (KOLO) - A man has been arrested after police say he used a stun gun on a Walmart employee who was trying to stop him from shoplifting.

Officers with the Sparks Police Department were called to the Walmart on Pyramid Way for reports of a robbery.

The caller told police that the suspect, 43-year-old Michael Cepeda of Sparks had used a stun gun on an employee while attempting to allegedly shoplift.

Cepeda was arrested shortly afterwards, along with 26-year-old Jessica Correa.

Cepeda has been charged with robbery, use or possession of a stun gun by a felon and a misdemeanor warrant.

Correa was arrested on a charge of possession of a controlled substance.
