AUBURN, Calif. (KOLO) - There was a technology malfunction that triggered a lockdown protocol at Placer High School, according to a Friday, Nov. 14, Auburn Police Department Facebook post.
“No threat. No danger. No sword-wielding senior citizen. No wildlife of any kind,” the post said. “Just a boring glitch that triggered a lockdown protocol.”
The post went on to explain that law enforcement has heard the rumors.
“Wow, Auburn, you’ve been busy,” the post said.
Auburn police have heard that there was a tweaker on campus threatening officers; a bear roaming the hallways; an elderly man with a sword on the football field; a distraught student at the Confluence trying to stab a teacher; and the classic loose alligator.
