OCHLOCKNEE, Ga. (WCTV) - A local citrus farm isn’t letting some recent “bad weather” get in the way of their weekend plans to share the fruits of their labor with the community.
On Sunday, Jo Nina Farm in Ochlocknee’s satumas were pummled by hail.
Monday and Tuesday’s frigid temperatures prompted them to cover dozens of newly planted trees.
Despite the rough start to the week, the farm said it’s still hosting its annual “Clip-N-Sip” even on Saturday.
More news out of South Georgia:
People can come to the farm, pick a fruit of their choice, clip it, and drink juice straight from the source.
“And then the sip is, we’ll have lemonade, juices, teas, ice cream, and all sorts of these things for everyone to see. It’s just a good opportunity for people who have never been on an orange farm
