CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa (KCRG) - A jury will return to deliberate a quadruple murder trial on Monday, after ending a day and a half of deliberations without a decision on Luke Truesdell’s guilt.
He’s accused of killing four people on a rural property in Linn County last year.
All four victims, Romondus Cooper, Keonna Ryan, Amanda Parker and Brent Brown, died after being beaten with a long pipe inside a pole-barn.
Police officers found Truesdell at the scene, where he confessed that he had killed all of them.
Evidence presented in the trial included surveillance video from the property, DNA from the pipe, and body camera footage from officers who questioned and arrested Truesdell.
The defense did not call any witnesses.
