One of Oregon’s best wrestlers is headed to one of the country’s newest college programs.
On Friday afternoon, Zorina Johnson announced that she is verbally committed to Lehigh University to wrestle in college.

Johnson is a two-time OSAA Class 6A/5A state champion. In 2024, as a sophomore, Johnson bested Forest Grove’s Renee Cook by a 9-3 decision for the 125-pound championship.
Last winter, Johnson won perhaps one of the most hotly-anticipated matches of the season . She beat North Medford’s Sadie Hall in a 22-4 technical fall (a win by 15 points or more) in four minutes for the 130-pound championship.
In July, Johnson was the runner-up of the 130-pound junior girls freestyle bracket at the U.S. Marine Corps Junior Nationals in Fargo, North Dakota. I
