HASTINGS, Neb. (KSNB) - Good Friday evening, everyone! It was certainly an unusually warm day across the Local4 viewing area today. In fact it was so warm, lots of daily record highs were broken. Both Hastings and Grand Island smashed previous records. Hastings high today of 83º dwarfed the previous record of 74º(1990). Grand Island with a high temperature of 84º crushed the previous record of 71º(2001). It should also be noted that it was the 3rd warmest November day on record for the Grand island area. The warmest being November 8, 1915 when the thermometer rocketed to 88º. I hope you enjoyed those 80s, because this will be the last time we have them this year.
