CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. (KFVS) - Dozens of people packed into a courtroom on the fourth floor of the Rush Hudson Limbaugh, Senior U.S. Courthouse in Cape Girardeau for one final meeting with Jim Johnson and Darrell Niswonger.

Before the two men were sentenced to federal prison for stealing nearly $6 million from more than 90 clients , Judge Stephen Limbaugh heard victim impact statements from 14 of them in open court. Several talked about how losing their life savings destroyed their lives and their self-esteem, robbed them of time with their families, and stole their ability to trust others.

One of those statements came from Sheryl Winchel, who first spoke with me back in April when the two men suddenly shut down their financial planning office in Perryville.
