JUNCTION CITY, Ore. - Emergency crews responded Friday morning to an apartment fire on West 1st Avenue, according to Junction City Fire and Rescue officials.
Fire and EMS dispatch logs show that a large number of engine units were dispatched to an apartment fire in the 900 block of West 1st Avenue at 7:12 a.m. Authorities said that an unconscious female was rescued and transported to a hospital due to severe smoke inhalation. The fire has been extinguished with no reported injuries to firefighters.
The cause remains under investigation, and a damage estimate is pending. Authorities urge residents to give crews space as they continue their work.
