CORVALLIS, Ore. - The Benton County Sheriff's Office is gearing up for the 31st Annual Shop with a Cop event this holiday season. This tradition aims to build positive connections between local youth and law enforcement.

According to the Benton County Sheriff's Office, elementary-aged children will join officers and social workers for a memorable shopping experience in early December. Each child will receive a gift card to select holiday gifts, accompanied by public safety partners from various departments.

"Shop with a Cop is one of the most meaningful traditions we participate in each year," said Sheriff Van Arsdall. "It gives our deputies an opportunity to support local kids, build trust, and share in the joy of the season."
