COLUMBIA, S.C. — Columbia Police are still trying to determine what led to a shooting that left a man wounded off one of the busiest roads in the city — Forest Drive.
The shooting happened around 10:45 a.m. in the 2700 block of Middleburg Drive.
A shooting between two men is under investigation by the Columbia Police Department. It happened in a parking lot across from a group of businesses on Middleburg Drive, just off Forest Drive. A man was detained and brought to Columbia police headquarters for questioning.
One witness says she saw the arrest happen.
“I pulled around the corner and I saw a man in a green vest getting arrested. There was a vehicle in the middle of the road that was stopped,” she said
One man was injured and is reportedly in stable condition at a nearby hospital.
