( NewsNation ) — Wyoming beef rancher Casey Parker, who likens the four largest U.S. meatpacking companies to price-fixing cartels, hopes the Trump administration’s plans to investigate the industry will result in a fairer marketplace.
President Trump last week said meatpackers are driving up beef prices and asked the Justice Department to launch a probe. That’s welcome news to Parker, owner of The Hufeisen-Ranch , who has criticized “The Big Four” — Tyson, Cargill, JBS and National Beef — on social media.
