The federal government has begun releasing files related to the late aviator Amelia Earhart after President Trump ordered their release in September.
The files include newly declassified material related to Earhart’s infamous final flight across the Pacific Ocean. According to a press release, the documents include reports, maps, messages and other materials tracing Earhart’s flight and documenting the government’s search for her following her disappearance.
