The Carolina Hurricanes will be without one of their top forwards for the remainder of Friday’s game.
Seth Jarvis exited the contest against the Vancouver Canucks early in the first period and has been ruled out for the remainder of the game with an upper-body injury, the Hurricanes announced.
Jarvis took a high stick from teammate Andrei Svechnikov in the eye area and immediately left the ice with training staff.
He finished with just 2:15 of ice time, but managed an assist, a shot on goal and a hit in that time.
The Team Canada hopeful has been on a goal-scoring streak to start the year, with 10 markers and six assists for 16 points in 17 games, including Friday against the Canucks.
