NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) - There is a new playground behind the Boys and Girls Club on Jackson Street in Nashville.
In August, kids submitted drawings of their dream playgrounds, and on Friday, their vision came to life.
The new playground is kid-designed and community-built. The project was led by the Nashville Predators Foundation and KABOOM, a national nonprofit that builds play spaces in underserved neighborhoods.
“There was an older playground. Just a swing set beforehand. But now they’ve got a full set of swings, slides, a little library, a little bit of everything for the kids to play with,” said Danielle Allen with the Metropolitan Development and Housing Agency.
