FRESNO, Calif. -- An all-new 20/20 reveals never-before-seen evidence in a chilling cold case that disturbed Central California for decades.

"There was literally a murderer on the loose in the Fresno area..." Juju Chang says.

The 22-year-old was a recent Fresno State graduate when her father found her dead in her northeast Fresno apartment. It would take 23 years for authorities to find her killer.

Investigators, including Vince Zavala, never gave up.

"Even after he retired from Fresno law enforcement, he stayed on unpaid to continue to follow leads. In fact, he was there the day that they arrested Nickey Stane," Chang said.
