LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WAVE) - Louisville has been no stranger to construction this year, as we’ve seen the I-65 corridor project already getting underway, as well as a new VA hospital along I-264.
Now, an I-71 widening project will also be thrown into the mix, and employees at businesses impacted tell WAVE it will just make what’s been a tough year even tougher.
KingFish and River House are restaurants that sit on River Road. Despite good food and river views, several customers haven’t had an easy time getting to the restaurants this year.
“Everything that we have been through has been because of the main road. So, the road flooded, you couldn’t get here. Road construction, you couldn’t get here,” said Chris Sparrow, a manager at KingFish.
