A months-long drug investigation across Morris County led to the arrest of three people and the seizure of guns, cash, and a large stash of drugs, authorities said Friday, Nov. 14.
Investigators executed search warrants on November 13, 2025, at homes in Cedar Knolls and Parsippany-Troy Hills, along with four vehicles and a storage unit in Parsippany, Morris County Prosecutor Robert Carroll said.
A search of the Cedar Knolls home turned up approximately 24 grams of suspected ketamine, approximately 10 grams of suspected cocaine, approximately 20 pills of suspected MDMA, over 6 ounces of suspected marijuana, and drug paraphernalia indicative of CDS distribution, as well as nearly $18,000 in U.S. Currency. Officers also seized a stolen Glock 43 from a Nissan Altima tied to Jeremy Mayes.
At the Parsippany home, officers seized approximately 64 grams of cocaine, a loaded revolver, and drug paraphernalia indicative of drug distribution.
Jeremy Mayes, 35, of Cedar Knolls, Casey Young, 32, of Morris Plains, and Adrian Schwerdt-O’Neil, 34, of Parsippany-Troy Hills, operated a drug distribution ring across Morris County from Sept. 1 through Thursday, Nov. 13. Mayes and Young were stopped the day of the searches as Young arrived at the Cedar Knolls residence driving a Madison DPW truck, while working for the town of Madison, Carroll said.
During Young’s arrest, officers said he had cards linked to a Parsippany storage unit that later yielded a loaded Glock 31, approximately 5 tabs of suspected LSD, two bags of suspected psilocybin mushrooms, numerous pills, and drug distribution paraphernalia, including a drug ledger.
Young was charged with multiple first-, second-, third-, and fourth-degree drug and weapons offenses. Mayes was charged with drug distribution, firearms offenses, receiving stolen property, and money laundering. Schwerdt-O’Neil was charged with cocaine distribution and weapons offenses.
Prosecutors said Mayes and Young remain detained pending a pretrial detention hearing. Schwerdt-O’Neil was released under monitoring.
