KALKASKA — Kalkaska High School Principal Staci Short reached out to 9&10 earlier this week to share her enthusiasm for what her school’s electronics class was doing for students.

She said during a walk through, she saw just how interested the students were, and had to share their story.

Andy Urquhart is a science teacher at Kalkaska High School, and for the past 7 years has been offering multiple electives for his class, including electronics.

He said students used to work in a more curriculum based environment, but they recently moved to more hands on work.

Students will first start with basic activities, and will move on to hands on work once they prove they are capable of it.
