De De Pyaar De 2 box office collection day 1: Actor Ajay Devgn has been on a sequel spree this year. After Raid 2 and Son of Sardaar 2, his film De De Pyaar De 2 released in theatres recently, and it appears that the film has had a mediocre start at the box office. Starring Rakul Preet Singh, R Madhavan and Meezaan in key roles, this is a sequel to the 2019 film. However, the new film has fallen just a little short of its predecessor. According to industry tracker Sacnilk, the film earned Rs 8.5 crore on its first day at the theatres.

As far as sequels go, this film did slightly better than Son of Sardaar 2, which earned Rs 7.5 crore on its first day. Son of Sardar, however, earned Rs 10.7 crore, back in 2012. On the other end of the spectrum sits the Raj Kumar Gupta directorial Raid
