GROSSE POINTE FARMS – Gabby DiVita is normally a very talkative person.

But on Friday afternoon, she was a bit speechless.

And for a very good reason.

The Grosse Pointe South senior was awarded the 2025 Miss Volleyball honor, given annually by the Michigan Interscholastic Volleyball Coaches Association to the state’s top senior.

The award was announced in front of more than 1,000 members of the Grosse Pointe South student body, faculty, teammates, high school and club volleyball coaches and more than 50 members of her family tree.
