The National Medical Commission (NMC) on Friday removed the names of four doctors, Dr Muzaffar Ahmad, Dr Adeel Ahmad Rather, Dr Muzamil Shakeel and Dr Shaheen Saeed, from the National Medical Register after they were charged under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act in connection with the Delhi blast case.
With this, doctors can no longer practise medicine or hold any medical appointment anywhere in India until further orders.
The action follows ongoing investigations into the recovery of 2,900 kg of explosives on November 10 and the powerful car blast near the Red Fort later that day that killed 13 people.
Eight individuals, including doctors, have so far been arrested, while several others have been detained for questioning. In its public notice, the NMC cited charges mentioned
