Sebastian Aho's goal with 31 seconds remaining in overtime gave the Carolina Hurricanes a 4-3 victory over the Vancouver Canucks on Friday night in Raleigh, N.C.
Andrei Svechnikov scored two first-period goals and later added an assist and Taylor Hall also found the net for the Hurricanes, who won for the fifth time in their last six games. Shayne Gostisbehere provided three assists, including on the game winner, while Pyotr Kochetkov made 14 saves.
Max Sasson, Elias Pettersson and Conor Garland scored for the Canucks. Kevin Lankinen made 34 saves, including three in overtime before Aho's seventh goal of the season and 17th career overtime game-winner.
