KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — Democratic Rep. Bob Freeman said that in Nashville, one out of five sexual assaults happens in the presence of "date rape" drugs.

Freeman said in most cases, if a sexual assault does not occur after someone believes their drink has been spiked, hospitals don't test for drugs.

That's what happened to University of Tennessee alumna Bailey Perna during a dinner with friends in Boston.

"I had two drinks — that was way lower than my tolerance level," Perna said. "(I) walked out and immediately fell. My friends immediately knew this was not right."

Her friends called the paramedics, who said she had drunk too much. The next morning, she went to the hospital to get tested.
