Romance has entered the digital age literally. In a bizarre case, a Japanese woman has “married" an AI chatbot she created. After a difficult breakup, Ms Kano, 32, found herself seeking comfort in an unusual place: ChatGPT.
Following the end of her three-year engagement, she turned to the AI chatbot for advice and companionship, The Independent reported. Over time, what started as casual conversation grew into something more profound. And now, she is married to the AI persona called Klaus.
‘I Realised I Love Him’
Ms Kano began customising the AI’s responses and shaped a personality she found caring and reassuring. She then created a digital illustration of her imagined partner and even gave him a name: Klaus.
