ATLANTIC CITY – Jordan Hernandez is a terror when chasing down opposing ball carriers.
He’s not too shabby with the football in his hands either.
The 6-foot-2, 230-pound lineman sparked an impressive defensive effort but also contributed on offense with a rushing touchdown, powering the Kingsway Regional High School football team to a 38-21 victory at Atlantic City in the South Jersey Group 5 championship on Friday night.
It’s the third sectional crown in Kingsway’s history. The Dragons also won in 2001 and 2021.
“It really fantastic when all the work you put in from so long ago in the summer and offseason all culminates in a sectional championship. We couldn’t be more blessed,” senior quarterback David Oravetz, who threw for a pair of touchdowns.
