HADDONFIELD — Jack McKeever got emotional when thinking of the past year and why wouldn’t he? The Haddonfield senior tight-end linebacker saw his high school season end a year ago with a torn ACL, a non-contact injury in the fourth game.

Flash forward to Friday night and McKeever was having the time of his life, celebrating with his teammates after top-seeded Haddonfield earned a 28-7 win over No. 3 seed Delran in the South Jersey Group 2 championship.

While Haddonfield running back Brody Leonard continued his insane postseason with 201 yards rushing and four touchdowns on 30 carries, the 6-foot-1, 205-pound McKeever certainly deserved some major headlines, not just for his play in the championship game, but the fortitude he showed in coming back.
