TOWAMENCIN — North Penn’s offense is running like a well-oiled machine.

The Knights scored touchdowns on each of their first five possessions and cruised to a 35-7 win over Neshaminy in the District 1-6A semifinals Friday night at Crawford Stadium.

Second-seeded North Penn (11-2) leaned on its ground game, running the ball 52 times to five pass attempts. Matt Pownall led the way with 134 yards and two touchdowns while Rylei Gray had 93 yards and three scores. As a team, the Knights rushed for 284 yards.

“The line up front,” Pownall credited for the success. “They’ve been blocking so well all year. Me and Rylei, double combo, he’s the speedier back, I’m a little more power. Just props to the line. They’ve been doing great all year, getting control of the line and letting us run the ball.
