SALEM, Ore. — A man was arrested after a nearly seven-hour search that sent nearby schools into lockdown in Northeast Salem.

On Friday, just before 4 a.m., deputies responded to a shooting call at the 3600 block of Rockwood Park Court Northeast, finding a 44-year-old woman, who was not identified, with a gunshot wound. She was transported to a hospital and is expected to survive, though her current condition is unknown.

According to the Marion County Sheriff's Office, the incident was linked to a domestic violence situation after which the suspect, 30-year-old Roger Rodriguez Molina, fled the scene. Police searched for him for nearly seven hours, with Rodriguez Molina evading officers twice.
