The Chennai Super Kings (CSK) have officially addressed the blockbuster trade that sent star all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja to the Rajasthan Royals (RR) for ₹14 crore, marking one of the biggest player moves ahead of the IPL 2025 season.

The IPL governing council confirmed the trade on Saturday morning, ending weeks of speculation. Jadeja, who was retained for ₹18 crore last season, moved for a reduced amount as part of the finalised deal. The trade also saw Sam Curran move to Rajasthan, while CSK brought in Sanju Samson for ₹18 crore.

Jadeja, one of CSK’s most influential players since joining in 2012, played a crucial role in the team’s successes—including the unforgettable final of IPL 2023, where he smashed 10 runs off the last two balls to secure the trophy.
