CLEVELAND, Ohio — Third-seeded Mogadore cruised to a 47-14 victory over East Canton in a Division VII, Region 25 semifinal on Friday, advancing to next week’s regional finals.
Mogadore (11-1) will face top-seeded McDonald (12-0) in the regional finals at a neutral site. The Wildcats are one of Northeast Ohio’s most successful small-school football programs with three state championships and 17 regional titles.
East Canton finishes 10-3.
Conner Lehner led the charge with two rushing touchdowns, including a 56-yard score that opened the scoring and a 3-yard touchdown run that extended Mogadore’s lead to 19-0. Dylan Benedum added two rushing touchdowns of his own, scoring from 24 and 3 yards out.
