EUCLID, Ohio — A scoreless first half turned into a dominant second-half performance as Glenville defeated Lake Catholic 14-3 in the Division IV Region 13 semifinals Friday night.
The second-seeded Tarblooders (9-3) will face top-seeded Perry (10-2) in the regional final, a rematch of last year’s regional championship. Perry advanced with a 21-0 victory over West Branch.
Lake Catholic held a 3-0 halftime lead after Gavyn Fredrik connected on a 38-yard field goal in the second quarter. The Cougars’ defense limited Glenville to just one first down in the opening two quarters.
