Union Minister and Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas) chief Chirag Paswan, commenting on his party’s performance in the Bihar Assembly election , said that while some had declared his political career over in 2020, he fought to revive the party.
Paswan's party won 19 of the 28 seats it contested in Bihar, while the NDA as a whole achieved a sweeping victory, securing 202 of the 243 seats in the assembly.
“In 2020, I faced a situation where several parties had already declared the end of our party. By 2022, it was widely believed that both LJP (RV) and I were finished. But I carry my father’s legacy in my veins. Neither he nor I accept defeat. I fought to resurrect the party and resolved to take it to greater heights,” he said.
