A warning has been issued to state pensioners who could be missing out on major pensions benefit. Under Department for Work and Pensions, or DWP, Attendance Allowance, retirees could be THOUSANDS of pounds better off.
You don't need a carer to be eligible for the claim, and the funds can be used on items that help maintain your independence rather than hiring a carer. The weekly payment, either £73.90 or £110.40, is designed to help those of State Pension age with day-to-day living expenses.
It is tailored specifically to support individuals with long-term disabilities, chronic conditions, and mental or physical health difficulties. However, many retirees may not even apply due to common misconceptions about the payments.
