A man was found dead from gunshot wounds in Clairton on Friday night, according to a release from Allegheny County Police.

Around midnight, first responders arrived at The Village Inn following reported gunshots in the parking lot. Upon arrival, they found no victim.

At 12:23 a.m., officers were notified of a man found in the backyard of a house in the 800 block of Vankirk Street, about 0.2 miles away from the hotel. The man, suffering gunshot wounds, was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.

The victim has not yet been identified.
