Having fallen short of its projected savings and revenues for 2024-25, Coachella Valley Unified School District presented an updated fiscal stabilization timeline on Thursday, Nov. 13 that includes $20 million in ongoing reductions over the next few school years across staffing, programs and contracts.
Now two months into her role, Julie Vigil, CVUSD's assistant superintendent of business services, presented the revised stabilization plan at the Nov. 13 school board meeting and outlined the financial pressures that remain even after last school year's $57 million in cuts and districtwide layoffs.
