A: Your plant is called dusty miller and is a silver-foliaged annual plant that contrasts nicely with blooming plants in containers or flowerbeds. We use dusty miller, which grows to a height of between 8 and 12 inches, as an edging-type plant around outer sections of our annual flowerbeds.

One or two dusty millers used in pots or planters adds a silvery touch, and the woolly thickness of the leaves adds interesting texture. Dusty millers are beautiful when combined with pink, blue, purple or red flowers.
