UKIP leader Nick Tenconi brands Bristol a 'communist run hell-hole'

The leader of a political party branded Bristol a "communist run hell-hole" while attending an anti-immigration protest in the city.

Nick Tenconi, leader of the United Kingdom Independence Party arrived in Redcliff this afternoon (Nov 15) where protesters and counter-protesters are demonstrating outside of a hotel being used to house asylum seekers .

Anti-immigration protesters calling themselves 'Bristol Patriots' arrived on Redcliff Hill in Redcliffe at about 1pm, to find a huge crowd of 'anti-fascist' and anti-racism protesters already present to 'defend' the location.

There are believed to be a few dozen 'Patriots' in attendance around the hotel, with around 150 counter-protesters opposing the group.
