November presents a potential hazard for dogs , as instances of Seasonal Canine Illness tend to increase during this period. Although this condition is relatively uncommon, it can be severe for our canine companions.
The majority of these illness cases are reported between August and November, especially after dogs have been taken for walks in woodland areas.
Dr Aimee Warner, the resident vet at Waggel, said: "Seasonal Canine Illness tends to affect dogs within 24 to 72 hours of woodland walks, often in damp areas with heavy leaf litter, but the exact cause has not been definitively identified.
