A significant drop in temperatures across Maharashtra has prompted the India Meteorological Department (IMD) to issue a cold wave alert for 10 districts on November 16. Several regions are experiencing an intense chill, with minimum temperatures plunging well below normal levels.
According to the IMD, Jehur in Solapur district recorded a minimum of , while Mahabaleshwar, Nashik and Gondia saw temperatures falling below , indicating the strengthening cold wave conditions across the state.

Despite the statewide dip, the Konkan belt, including Mumbai, continues to remain relatively warm.
