Indian wedding spending is rising in 2025, as couples prioritise meaningful and personalised celebrations while keeping a close eye on value. Industry executives say this season’s weddings are less about scale and extravagance, and more about immersive experiences, thoughtful hospitality and curated formats that reflect a couple’s personality and priorities.
Budgets rise, but spending is more intentional
K Kachru, President of the Hotel Association of India and Chairman – South Asia, Radisson Hotel Group, notes that average wedding budgets touched ₹32–35 lakh in 2024, up roughly 14% year-on-year.
Destination weddings continue to gain ground, rising from 18% of total weddings in 2022 to nearly 26% in 2024, as couples seek unique settings and integrated packages.
