The chairman and managing director of THDC India Limited, RK Vishnoi passed away after a prolonged illness on Saturday. His last rites will be held in Rishikesh on Sunday. According to officials, Vishnoi (58) had more than 37 years of vast experience in design, engineering and construction of hydro project structures. He joined THDCIL in 1989 at the level of engineer and worked in different capacities and rose to the level of general manager in 2013 and thereafter became an executive director in 2016. Apart from heading the Design Department, he also held the additional charge of executive director, Vishnugad-Pipalkoti Hydro Electric Project (VPHEP) 444 MW.
