The New York Giants are searching for a new head coach, but one name has already crossed himself off the list.
Bill Belichick , now in the first year of his $50 million contract at North Carolina , has confirmed he will not pursue any NFL vacancies.
The legendary coach, who led the New England Patriots to six Super Bowl wins, had become the subject of speculation after the Giants fired Brian Daboll Monday .
Belichick also lifted the Lombardi Trophy twice with New York, in 1986 and 1990, while he served as a defensive coordinator under Bill Parcells.
Despite his obvious ties to the franchise, 'Chapel Bill' has no plans to leave the Tar Heels.
