A vehicle struck a 58-year-old woman, a resident of Peoria, who was traveling on foot on Thursday, according to the Somerton Police Department.

At about 6:27 p.m. Nov. 13, officers responded to the report of the motor vehicle collision in the 1300 block of East Main Street.

The female was transported to Onvida Hospital in Yuma.

The driver of the Chevrolet Silverado truck, a 60-year-old resident of San Luis, remained on scene and is cooperating with the investigation.
