BLOOMINGTON – The best start to a season in Indiana football history took another step forward this afternoon as the No. 2 Hoosiers recovered from a slow start to blast Wisconsin for their program-record 11th win in a row to open the campaign.

IU quarterback Fernando Mendoza completed 22 of 24 passes for 299 yards and four touchdowns, setting the Hoosiers' single-season record for TD passes in the process, and Indiana scored 14 points off two second-half turnovers on the way to a 31-7 victory on Senior Day at a packed Memorial Stadium.

The Hoosiers (11-0, 8-0 Big Ten) matched the program record for wins in a season they set last year and can clinch a spot in the Big Ten championship game with a win in two weeks against rival Purdue in West Lafayette.
