BOISE, Idaho — Treasure Valley anglers can dust off their fishing gear: Steelhead are swimming into the Boise River on Nov. 21.

The Idaho Department of Fish and Game will release approximately 200 steelhead at five locations along the river on Friday, Nov. 21, marking the official start of the season.

The fish will arrive in equal numbers at Glenwood Bridge, Americana Bridge, below Broadway Avenue Bridge behind Boise State University, West Parkcenter Bridge and Barber Park.

Fish and Game officials stated that stocking typically occurs between noon and 2 p.m., although they prefaced that exact times cannot be provided.
