GREEN BAY — Kicker Brandon McManus being added as doubtful might’ve been the biggest news about the Green Bay Packers updating their injury report on Saturday, but it wasn’t the only addition the team made to the report before traveling east.

The Packers also announced that wide receiver Malik Heath has been ruled out for the game, citing a “coach’s decision” and adding that Heath was not traveling with the team for Sunday’s matchup with the New York Giants at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, N.J.

The team did not provide any further details as to why Heath had been ruled out or why he was being kept home, and head coach Matt LaFleur does not speak to reporters on Saturdays leading into Sunday games.
