Held outside the Real Canadian Superstore in Chatham, items were collected and loaded up for delivery to 10 food banks throughout the municipality.

Vince Masse, club president, was happy with the strong community response, whether they were people just stopping by, or shoppers coming out.
He estimated that between food and monetary donations, the total value will ultimately tally over $10,000, with about 25 volunteers giving their time over the course of the day.
“I’m very, very pleased. Times are really tough right now,” he said, adding that local food banks are finding themselves even busier this season.
